Project Overview

The Middle School Affiliated to Tibet University for Nationalities project is located in Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province. The school covers an area of 20,000 square meters. In 2020, the school will build a new bathroom in the student dormitory building. It needs a hot water supply system and the renovation of the bathroom. The daily hot water supply demand is about 20 tons. Equipped with 30 tons water tank.




Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province has a continental monsoon climate with distinct hot and cold seasons. The summers are hot and the temperature is high, and the winters are cold and dry. The annual average temperature is 15℃, and the average winter temperature is 0-10℃. The temperature difference is relatively large, and the temperature at night even drops to below freezing.

Project Background

The Middle School Affiliated to Tibet University for Nationalities - Key Middle School of the Tibet Autonomous Region, Shaanxi Province Standardized High School (Provincial Key), founded in 1969, is the only 12-year consistent school founded by the Tibet Autonomous Region in the mainland. It is located in Xianyang, the ancient capital of Tibet. It is a window to understand the basic education in the Mainland. It is an educational hot spot where famous teachers gather, students and talents lead the curriculum reform. There are 49 teaching classes and 2,500 students in the school.

In order to meet the requirements of low-carbon development and achieve the purpose of energy conservation, environmental protection and emission reduction, the school conducted an on-site inspection of BANDON’s local engineering projects and learned that BANDON has a self-developed electronic control system, especially in the field of commercial inverter, which has high maturity and unit performance. It can continuously provide constant temperature heating especially under low temperature conditions; for this reason, the school resolutely chose BANDON to provide the school with intelligent hot water solutions.

Equipment Selection

In order to solve the concentrated hot water demand in the school dormitories during peak hours, the project uses two 30HP commercial full DC inverter ultra-low temperature heat pump water heaters. The units are ready for use and provide high-quality domestic hot water throughout the day. The opening time and corresponding water temperature and water level can be set according to peak and valley electricity prices, holidays, etc. Teachers and students at school can enjoy healthy hot water anytime and anywhere.



Device Installation

Taking into account the safety issues of the project during the installation process, the unit was finally decided to be installed on the roof of the dormitory building. Anti-vibration and anti-noise measures were taken during the installation. The unit operated stably while ensuring that the students' work and rest were not affected, creating a better environment. Good campus environment.



It is worth mentioning that BANDON ultra-low temperature commercial inverter air source heat pump is used this time, breaking through the application limit of air source heat pump at -35°C ambient temperature. After the unit is installed and debugged, the terminal water tank is seamlessly connected to ensure hot water supply.

Operation Status

Since the main users of the equipment are students, there is intensive use, usually between classes and evening bathing periods. However, the high-capacity output of the unit ensures the temperature during intensive use, and ensures the temperature during low-frequency operation during idle times. The cost-effective supply of water enables 24-hour constant temperature hot water, improves the comfort of hot water use, and ensures that hot water is hot as soon as it is turned on.

After the installation and commissioning of the hot water project equipment of the Middle School Affiliated to Tibet University for Nationalities was completed, the overall progress was relatively smooth. During the warranty period, we also conducted a follow-up visit to the school and received the following evaluation:

① During the operation of the entire system, the heating and hot water supply effects are very good; the hot water volume and water pressure are stable, there is no hot and cold phenomenon, and the hot water temperature can reach 50-60 ℃.

② Compared with traditional coal-fired boilers, air source heat pump is safer and more convenient to use, will not pollute the environment, and the unit has no noise problems. The intelligent control system is simple to operate and has been well received by teachers and students.
