On February 19, Algerian Minister of the
Interior Noureddine Boudoui, together with important members of the Algerian
Ministry of Interior, the Governor of Jelfa and the head of SKTM Company,
accompanied by the head of the owner company and the leader of the project
department, paid a visit to the group's affiliated companies. Visited Algeria’s
Jelfa Phase II 33MW photovoltaic power station constructed by the Third
Hydropower Bureau.
The second phase of the Jelfa Photovoltaic
Power Station project was undertaken by the Manufacturing and Installation
Branch of the Third Hydropower Bureau. Its installed capacity accounts for 37%
of the total contracted capacity (90MW). The project officially started
construction on December 17, 2015, was connected to the grid for power
generation on June 4, 2017, and signed the temporary minutes of the power
station on September 11, 2017.
During this visit, the person in charge of
the owner company explained the power generation situation of the power
station, indicating that the power generation capacity of the power station has
exceeded the expected value and has maintained good operating conditions during
the operation and maintenance stage. Afterwards, the Minister of the Interior
delivered an important speech. He believed that photovoltaic energy is the
cleanest energy among new energy sources in Algeria. The construction of
photovoltaic power stations is of special significance. Algeria will further
increase the use of photovoltaic energy and prepare to build more photovoltaic
power stations in the future.
The visit of the Minister of the Interior affirmed the good contract performance of the Manufacturing and Installation Branch of the Third Hydropower Bureau and its attitude of actively guiding local operators in the later period of power station operation. It also reflects that the construction of the second phase of the 33MW power station is of great significance to the local power grid system, meeting the power supply needs of the region and making a great contribution to the further expansion of Algeria's new energy market.
